The disc thickener is used for the dewatering and concentration of low-concentration pulp in the pulp and paper industry. It is not only suitable for the dehydration and concentration of wood pulp, cotton pulp, and rice straw pulp, but also for filtering and concentrating other types of fiber suspensions in the non-paper industry. Compared with other existing pulp thickening equipment, it has the advantages of simple structure, convenient installation and maintenance, high production capacity, and wide adaptability of pulp types. It is widely used in the pulp and paper industry.

The process performance of the rotary screen thickener is related to the type of pulp, the concentration of the slurry, the liquid level difference between the inside and outside of the drum controlled in the production operation, and the speed of the drum. Under the same conditions, increasing the drum speed within a certain range can increase production Capacity, but the pulp concentration also decreases. The drum line speed below 15m2 is generally 38~57m/min; above 20m2 it is generally 44~69m/min.
